“Detroit Dreams” is punching the giant screen this Sunday, May 1, 2022, on the Garden Theater in Detroit.
Written and directed by Detroit entertainment executive and filmmaker Al Nuke in partnership with Lite Skin Productions, both are highlighting and securing Detroit’s musical past, present, and future.
“This movie really inspires me as it shows me the length of time you may get using the grace of God and just having consistency,” Nuke says.
The show features performances by local Detroit rappers Matashia and Tay B, as well as other Detroit artists like Babyface Ray, Peezy, Payroll, and Lou Gram.
Following your Detroit premiere, the cast would set from a seven-city screening tour and concert. The film will tour Indiana, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, ending in Atlanta on May 26, 2022.

Without spoiling the complete movie, do you know us what the film is about?
Detroit Dreams is usually a candid remake of the 1980 movie “Krush Groove,” where Russell Simmons breaks into Nyc music and Nyc talent. It shows what he’d to go through to create that occur. “Detroit Dreams” is about that.
It’s about a producer named Bobby who’s wanting to push Detroit music. He signs a designer from your West Side but Bobby’s in the East Side. He’s got folks this neighborhood upset about why he is not supporting them. It is an enormous mess, but he is attempting to help everybody in the process. He could be fitting in with push Detroit’s culture forward.
It’s a robust story because it always happens in urban cities, not only in Detroit.
