How weddings have changed over the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight marriage ceremony members; a simple wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals to six course meals; 1-3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Speaking of rogues, wedding speeches remain a fundamental part of being married and guests do anticipate hearing them, discussing them before, during and indeed after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of groom speech delivered before the meal, in the meal and after your food, however it’s of an strong opinion that this wedding speeches needs to be delivered following the meal. I understand that for many marriage ceremony speakers i.e. Father with the Bride Speech, Father in the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the five main speakers), they’d want to possess the wedding speeches before the meal, so they can enjoy their meal (many of them are paying for it!). However, is going on the invited guests and just how many (and even wedding ceremony venue staff) would choose wedding ceremony speeches to get delivered as soon as the meal for many reasons, most of which include:
The invited guests have been fed and watered and are not playing wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which may be the case ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce the wedding ceremony speeches prior to the meal in addition to their might be a delay of 15 minutes one.5 hours, driving your home staff crazy attempting to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding ceremony speeches work as the transition through the meal on the dancing (broke and alone happening after the meal, everyone is expecting ‘a few words’ being shared about the Bride & Groom then they know they can stand up, move, have a break, go for a walk, visit the bar…)
It’s a challenge for parents with the Bride & Groom to speak in public, as the majority of them may not be used of it. So, they might, whenever they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.
There should be some type of formal wedding speech(es) following your meal…
