How weddings have changed on the decades! From the handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight marriage ceremony members; a straightforward wedding car to expensive and big wedding cars; three course meals in order to six course meals; one to three live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
While we’re talking about the latter, wedding speeches are still an important part of being married and guests do anticipate hearing them, discussing them before, during and even after they’ve been delivered.
We have all heard of wedding speeches delivered prior to the meal, during the meal after your food, however it’s of a strong opinion that this wedding speeches needs to be delivered following the meal. I know that for a lot of wedding party speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father in the Groom Speech, Bride Speech, Groom Speech and Bestman Speech (the five main speakers), they will choose to have the wedding speeches before the meal, to allow them to enjoy their meal (some of them are paying for it!). The invited guests happen to be fed and watered and are not hearing wedding speeches on an empty stomach (at least of food, which could be so ahead of the meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food could be cooked and served at the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches before the meal as well as their is actually a delay of 15 minutes to a single.5 hours, driving living rooms staff crazy continuing to keep food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The wedding speeches behave as the transition from your meal towards the dancing (broke happening as soon as the meal, people are expecting ‘a few words’ to get shared regarding the Bride & Groom then they do know they could stand up, maneuver around, take a rest, go for a walk, see a bar…)
It’s a challenge for folks from the Bride & Groom to communicate in public areas, since most of them couldn’t survive used of computer. So, they might, when they so wished, speak ahead of the / their meal.
