Lithium ion batteries have a lot of advantages over other sorts of batteries, including:
Very high energy density. Lithium ion batteries store more energy than other kinds of batteries for a similar sized battery, permitting ultra-high power densities far exceeding current lithium-ion technology.
Excellent charge efficiency. Due to the smart charging algorithm implemented from the BMS, lithium-ion batteries lose less energy throughout the charge/discharge cycle than other battery types (Battery Management System). Almost all of the useful when huge amounts of your energy are increasingly being stored (as in EVs and solar energy storage).
Elevated discharge power. High power battery pack rich in power cells provide high power on demand to power electric vehicles (EV) and alternative energy storage systems.
Reduced self-discharge. Although low self-discharge NiMH batteries are available, lithium-ion batteries are obviously low self-discharge.
Elevated cell voltage. This means that fewer cells inside a series string are needed to produce a given voltage that can easily power devices.
Extremely safe and thermally stable. Intelligent BMS is very important to lithium battery performance; it acts as the battery’s brain, to blame for advanced monitoring and management to ensure safety, performance, charge rates, and long lifespan.
It’s sleek. Lithium ion batteries are significantly lighter than other chemistries for any given size and volume of energy storage (such as Lead acid battery). This is particularly helpful for applications for example EVs or small portable devices.
