How weddings have changed on the decades! Coming from a handful to 400-500 invited guests; one-two to six-eight bridal party members; a fairly easy wedding car to expensive and enormous wedding cars; three course meals to course meals; 1-3 live bands; simple attire to colorful and flamboyant dresses, suits and attire and off-the-cuff to well-prepared wedding speeches.
Talking about the second, wedding speeches continue to be a fundamental part of a wedding and guests do look ahead to hearing them, referring to them before, during as well as after they’ve been delivered.
We are all aware of wedding speeches delivered before the meal, in the meal after your food, yet it’s of a strong opinion how the wedding speeches must be delivered following your meal. I know that for many wedding party speakers i.e. Father from the Bride Speech, Father from the father of the bride speech (the five main speakers), they will prefer to possess the wedding speeches prior to the meal, for them to enjoy their meal (a lot of them are spending money for it!). However, all is here the invited guests and how many (and even the marriage venue staff) would like the marriage speeches being delivered as soon as the meal for many reasons, some of which include:
The invited guests have been fed and watered and aren’t hearing wedding speeches before eating anything (at least of food, which may be the case prior to meal, though weddings today do provide light snacks upon arrival on the wedding venue)
Food can be cooked and served with the agreed time (introduce wedding ceremony speeches before the meal along with their is actually a delay of Fifteen minutes to a single.5 hours, driving living rooms staff crazy always keeping food freshly cooked, presentable and edible)
The marriage speeches behave as the transition through the meal on the dancing (broke and alone happening following your meal, individuals are expecting ‘a few words’ to be shared about the Bride & Groom and they do know they can get out of bed, move, have a break, go for a walk, see a bar…)
It’s a challenge for fogeys of the Bride & Groom to speak in public places, as most of them may not be used from it. So, they can, when they so wished, speak prior to the / their meal.
There should be some form of formal speech(es) as soon as the meal…
